About Bud

Bud Meadows is President and General Manager of ABILITY Network, an Inovalon Company. Bud joined ABILITY in December 2010 and leads the overall strategy, growth and operations for ABILITY. He was previously ABILITY’s EVP and Chief Revenue Officer, where he was responsible for all customer facing areas, including sales, account management, implementation, customer service and support. Bud brings 20+ years of sales, marketing and business development leadership experience within the healthcare industry.

Prior to joining ABILITY, he served as Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development for Mirixa Corporation, a leading provider of technology and clinical services for pharmacies and health plans. He previously held leadership roles with Sage Software, WebMD/Emdeon and Medical Manager Corporation. During this time, Bud had responsibility for developing and leading the clinical and administrative transactions sales business units and reseller programs. Bud is a graduate of Washington and Lee University, Williams School of Commerce with a degree in Politics.

About Jamison

Jamison (Jamie) Rice is President and General Manager of ABILITY Network, an Inovalon Company. Jamie joined ABILITY Network in June 2017 and leads the overall strategy, growth and operations for ABILITY. He brings deep operational, strategy, finance and technology leadership experience from his 20+ years in the healthcare industry.

Prior to joining ABILITY, Jamie was at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota (BCBSMN) where he held a number of executive leadership positons. Most recently he was EVP and Chief Administrative Officer, responsible for Operations, Strategy, Finance, Enterprise Technology and Business Transformation. Prior to that, he was SVP of Health Plan Operations and Chief Technology Officer, a role in which he led Health Plan Operations, Information Technology and Data Insights. He also served as SVP and Chief Financial Officer.

Before joining BCBSMN he was principal and CFO for Yukon Partners Management, LLC, a private investment firm focused on middle-market companies. Earlier in his career he spent eight years at UnitedHealth Group in various leadership roles, including CFO of UnitedHealthcare, VP of Finance for UnitedHealthcare and CFO of UnitedHealth Networks. Jamie began his career as a certified public accountant, working for one of the largest accounting firms in the country.

He is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas, with a B.A. degree in Business Administration, Accounting. He is also a board member of Make-A-Wish Minnesota.

John GappaAbout John

John A. Gappa is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for ABILITY. He has responsibility for leading corporate financial management and strategy, controllership and accounting, and other administrative functions.

Prior to joining ABILITY, John served as the Senior Vice President and CFO for MOM Brands Company, and led the sale of the company to Post Holdings. John also served four years as Senior Vice President and CFO of Universal Hospital Services (UHS), a leading nationwide provider of healthcare technology management and service solutions to the healthcare industry. While at UHS he led a public high yield offering and equity recapitalization of the company. Before that, John served for nine years as SVP, CFO and General Manager of Red Line HealthCare Corporation, a specialty long-term care distribution company serving skilled nursing facilities and home health providers. While at Red Line, John also held the position of General Manager of the company’s Medicare billing division. He also held progressive financial and accounting management positions with The Pillsbury Company over nine years.

In 2011, while at MOM Brands, John was recognized as the Twin Cities CFO of the Year by the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal.

John received a B.S. and an M.B.A. in Finance from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. He is a Board Member and past Board Chair of the American Refugee Committee, and has served as a Minnesota Zoo Foundation trustee.

About Ken

Ken Ernsting is the EVP and Chief Operating Officer and has responsibility for corporate development within the organization, including the negotiation of technology/partner agreements, leading acquisition and integration activities, management of government relations and business development engagement.

As a senior executive in the healthcare information technology industry, Ken has experience and success in virtually all areas, including Operations, Marketing, Product Management, Sales, Business Development and General Management. Prior to joining ABILITY Network, Ken was with Sage Healthcare as the Vice President, Business Development and Government Relations. Predecessor companies to Sage included WebMD, where he was Vice President, Operations and prior to that was the Vice President/General Manager of PCN, Inc., a subsidiary for which he had P&L responsibilities, of Medical Manager Corporation.

Over the last twenty-five years, Ken has gained a truly unique combination of expertise in the development, acquisition, management, implementation and support of clinical and financial applications in healthcare. During his time at WebMD and Medical Manager, he led the acquisition and integration of over a dozen companies, including both competitors and distributors of the company’s products. As a Senior Vice President for Physician Computer Network, Ken was responsible for Sales, Marketing and Product Management. As the SVP and Healthcare GM for VERSYSS Incorporated, he led sales and operations of the business and also played a key role in transitioning from multiple hardware and software environments to a single technology platform. Prior positions include Marketing and Product Management roles within Contel Business Systems.

Ken received his Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies, summa cum laude, from Boston University.

About Geoff

Geoff Charron is the EVP of Engineering and is responsible for all aspects of design, development and quality assurance for the ABILITY portfolio of market-leading healthcare payment and administration products and services. He has more than 20 years of experience in building and managing global engineering teams. Before joining ABILITY, Geoff led the development of market-leading enterprise security software products at Netegrity (acquired by CA Technologies); BEA Systems (acquired by Oracle); CA Technologies; and most recently EiQ Networks.

Geoff holds a Bachelor’s in manufacturing systems engineering and a Master’s in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (Massachusetts).

About Justin

Justin Silver is the EVP of Corporate Development and is responsible for identifying and leading the company’s new business development and strategic acquisition growth strategy.

Prior to joining ABILITY, Justin was a member of the Business Development leadership team at Healthagen, a division of Aetna, where he focused on executing a variety of provider oriented healthcare technology transactions. Justin was previously a Vice President at Radius Ventures where he invested in both development and growth stage companies within the life sciences, medical technology, healthcare IT and services sectors. Justin has also spent time with Ferghana Partners, a boutique investment bank, where he specialized in healthcare private placement, M&A and corporate partnering transactions. He has also worked for New Enterprise Associates where he concentrated on healthcare venture capital financings and strategic advisory work for its portfolio companies.

Justin received a BS in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis and an MS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Georgetown University where he graduated first in his class. Justin is a graduate of the Harvard Business School where he received the Dean’s Award for leadership and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Healthcare Alumni Association.

John Agostino

John Agostino, SVP of Finance, is responsible for leading all areas Finance, Accounting, Tax and Treasury for ABILITY. John has more than a decade of experience leading and advising companies on a broad range of finance and accounting areas.

John joined ABILITY in 2015 as vice president of Finance where he led the company’s Financial Planning and Analysis function. Prior to joining ABILITY, John was a director in PwC’s Deals practice, where he advised companies through various merger and acquisition opportunities. John began his career in Deloitte’s audit practice.

John holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Lehigh University. He is also the treasurer of The Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund, which provides need-based scholarships to students.

About Jennifer

Jennifer Marso, VP of Strategic Communications, is responsible for leading strategic communications efforts across ABILITY, including public relations and internal communications and corporate brand. She has more than 15 years of strategic communications experience focused on technology companies in healthcare and finance.

Before joining ABILITY, Jennifer spent 10 years leading various brand communications functions at Wolters Kluwer, a $4 billion global information services and technology company. Most recently she led Corporate Marketing and Communications for the Governance, Risk & Compliance division where she was responsible for brand, public and analyst relations, internal communications, digital marketing and events. Prior to joining Wolters Kluwer, Jennifer led Corporate Communications for RBC’s U.S. Wealth Management division.

Jennifer holds a bachelor of Science degree in Applied Economics from the University of Minnesota and a Masters of Business Communications certificate from the University of St. Thomas. She is a board member of The Food Group, a Minnesota-based non-profit focused on helping provide healthy food to people in need.

About John

John Carter is senior vice president, Platform Operations for ABILITY Network, an Inovalon company, where he leads planning and delivery for the company’s platform operations groups. John joined ABILITY in February 2016 as senior vice president of Clearinghouse Operations where he was responsible for day-to-day transaction operations supporting over 45,000 healthcare providers of all sizes, across the continuum of care.

Previously, John was the owner and founder of two nationwide healthcare clearinghouses: Healthcare Administration Technologies, now part of PNC Healthcare; and G4 Health Systems, now part of ABILITY.
He has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare EDI and revenue cycle management, leading the design, development and operations of large-scale systems and business office applications processing billions of transactions nationwide.

As one of the first implementers of HIPAA Transaction and Codes Sets, John was one of the industry experts asked to provide testimony to the National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics (NCVHS). Throughout his career, he has shared his insight through volunteer involvement with a number of standard-setting organizations, including the Data Interchange Standards Association, the Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange, the National Uniform Billing Committee and the Oklahoma Governors HIPAA Task Force.

John studied Computer and Information Sciences at Oklahoma State University.

About Julie

Julie Lambert is the senior vice president of Customer Operations for ABILITY, an Inovalon company, where she is responsible for leading planning and delivery for the company’s customer operations groups. Julie joined ABILITY in 2020 and brings more than 15 years of healthcare leadership experience.

Prior to joining ABILITY, she was vice president of Pharmacy Operations at Optum, a part of UnitedHealth Group’s pharmacy benefit manager and care services group. In addition, she held leadership roles at Prime Therapeutics, where she led operational departments and built out new capabilities and functions.

Julie holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin in Lacrosse.

About Tom

Tom Schultz is the Senior Vice President of Sales for ABILITY Network, an Inovalon company. Tom joined ABILITY in 2020 and is responsible for driving the organization’s Sales strategy, planning and execution.

Tom has more than 20 years of sales leadership experience in the healthcare and software industries. Before joining ABILITY, he was Chief Growth Officer at Evariant, where he led the company in growing revenue and helped to dramatically raise customer satisfaction scores.

Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President at Healthstream, where he led Sales, Partnerships, and Operations teams. He also held several roles of increasing responsibility at Lawson Software, ultimately serving as Vice President of Infor Lawson Global Healthcare Sales.

Tom received a B.A. in Business and Marketing from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota.

About Dmitri

Dmitri Fradkin, Vice President of Engineering, is responsible for leading the engineering teams at ABLITY Network, an Inovalon company. Dmitri oversees the development, architecture, security and maintenance of ABILITY applications. Under his leadership, the engineering teams are responsible for delivering the software for the SaaS-based product suite and supporting the strategic imperatives of Inovalon’s provider business.

Dmitri has more than 15 years of experience in healthcare technology, leading high-performing teams and driving the architecture of software solutions and adoption of cloud technologies.

Dmitri joined ABILITY in 2014 as the Director of Engineering, where he focused on data, connectivity and new product development. Prior to joining ABILITY, Dmitri held multiple roles at TriZetto Corporation, now part of Cognizant, where he led the teams responsible for innovation, architecture and development of the care management application suite for healthcare insurers.

Dmitri holds a master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Saint Petersburg State Polytechnic University. He has also earned multiple technology leadership and strategy certifications from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

About Stan

Stan Opstad is the Senior Vice President of Product Management. Stan joined ABILITY in 2015 and is responsible for leading the growth of the company’s product portfolio.

Stan has many years of experience in the health IT industry. Before joining ABILITY, he was Vice President, Product Management, at Surgical Information Systems, where he was responsible for driving growth of various clinical systems. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President of Product Management and Strategy for Healthland and as Director of Product Management at Ingenix (now Optum), a subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group, where he was responsible for product strategy, product portfolio profit/loss and growing revenue via new products.

Stan received a BS in marketing from Minnesota State University and an MBA in strategic management from the University of Minnesota.

About John

John Porricolo is vice president of Marketing for ABILITY Network, an Inovalon Company. He joined ABILITY in 2012 and drives the organization’s marketing strategy, planning and execution. Under John’s direction, the ABILITY marketing team has consistently achieved double-digit increases in customer lead generation.

John has more than 20 years of provider and technology base healthcare industry experience. Prior to his work at ABILITY, he was Vice President of Business Development at KidsGrowth.com, where he led marketing strategy and brand positioning to help it become the largest online community for pediatric professionals. Previously, he was director of Business Development for Medical Manager Corporation, a practice management software provider to more than 100,000 physicians nationwide.

John earned a Bachelor’s degree in Gerontology and Healthcare Administration from Iona College in New York.
